•  Swedish massage

The Swedish massage techniques are designed to improve your circulation, soothe your muscles and make you feel more relaxed.

Swedish massage uses softer strokes on the bonier and more delicate parts of the body, and stronger strokes where there is thicker muscle coverage. This adjustment of pressure makes it an ideal massage for relaxation. All massages can leave you feeling thirsty and needing to go to the toilet more than usual - this is because the massage has got your lymph circulation going and your body is flushing out toxins. Drink plenty of water afterwards.

In all Swedish massage, the therapist lubricates the skin with massage oil and performs various massage strokes, including the basic techniques for a traditional Swedish massage: effleurage, petrissage, friction, taping and cupping. These movements warm up the muscle tissue, releasing tension and gradually breaking up muscle knots.

Afterwards, you'll probably feel quite relaxed and maybe even sleepy, so give yourself plenty of time to unwind. Savour the feeling of having every muscle in your body gently stretched and smoothed out.

Clients can make the most of the detoxifying effects of Swedish massage by following a few simple rules. Post massage, we encourage our clients to drink plenty of water and avoid caffeine, nicotine and alcohol for the next 24 hours. And to avoid strenuous exercise for the next day, to allow the body to heal from within.

Yes, you can but not Swedish massage, there are specialists in giving pre-natal massage.
