The all new, multi wavelength Dermalux LED therapy is rapidly becoming the must-have treatment for anti-ageing, acne and skin healing. Over 40 years of independent worldwide research has shown LED therapy to have powerful rejuvenation benefits in the skin. The heat free light is clinically proven to be safe for all skin types and effective in the treatment of a wide range of skin conditions. It provides a quick, painless and relaxing way to achieve the healthy, younger looking skin that you have always wanted, without the side effects or downtime that can be associated with invasive procedures.
Dermalux LED phototherapy reproduces the same properties of sunlight without the sun's harmful UV light. Dermalux™ LED Phototherapy is a non-invasive, risk-free, convenient hand and facial treatment that uses narrow band, non-thermal light energy to trigger your body's natural cell processes to accelerate rejuvenation and repair of the skin. Light is nature's natural light source. Phototherapy can help skin cells harness this natural energy to help cells recharge themselves. As a result of ageing, skin disorders or trauma, healthy skin cells are unable to renew themselves normally; however, once reenergised they will be able to heal quicker and actually rejuvenate faster. The phototherapy also accelerates the body's own natural repair processes to improve a poor complexion, signs of ageing (including lines and wrinkles on the face, hands or body) sunburn skin damage, pigmentation and overall skin health.
Yes. LED Phototherapy is a heat free light treatment that does not contain harmful UV wavelengths and therefore cannot damage skin tissue. It is clinically proven to be safe for all skin types, including darker skins and even on the most sensitive of skin conditions. There is no risk of irritation, side effects or down time that may be associated with more invasive procedures. It does not harm the body in any way. The treatment is safe, convenient, painless and even relaxing.
During your LED Phototherapy treatment your skin needs to be clean and free of all makeup. Skin care products and skin creams must be removed to allow the beneficial light to penetrate into the skin. Blackout glasses may be worn depending on the light colour. Treatment usually lasts for around 20 to 30 minutes, depending on the treatment area and skin disorder to be treated.
LED is a non-invasive, painless treatment that promotes a feeling of relaxation and wellbeing whilst rejuvenating the skin. Exposure to the light can increase serotonin levels which relive stress, tension and headaches.
No. Clients can resume their routine as normal and may notice their skin complexion improving as the day progresses.
The number of treatments can vary with age, skin type and condition. Treatment of Acne, Treatment of Ageing Skin, Treatment of Psoriasis, Treatment of Dermatitis, Treatment of Pigmentation and Treatment of Rosacea, depending on severity of each individual skin condition, can take from one treatment session to ongoing regular treatments. With phototherapy the results are cumulative and improvement will continue even after the treatment has stopped. Treatments taken in quick succession will achieve optimum results and maintenance treatments may also be recommended. As phototherapy does not harm the skin, there is no limit to the amount of treatment you can have. An individual treatment plan will be discussed during your consultation.
With phototherapy the visible effects are immediate. Treatment times are short and the visible effects are in most cases immediate; Dermalux instantly revives a tired and dull complexion. After just one treatment skin is visibly hydrated, smooth and radiant whilst redness and irritation is calmed. A course of treatments offers corrective and lasting improvement in the appearance and health of the skin.
No. LED Phototherapy does not contain the harmful UV rays that stimulate the melanin in the skin to produce a 'sun tan' effect. However, LEDs stimulate hydration and blood circulation and will instantly give your skin a healthy and radiant glow.
Yes. As LED therapy does not create photosensitivity, it is a safe treatment directly pre and post sun exposure. In fact, it is particularly beneficial at this time to strengthen and replenish the skin and repair damage caused by UV exposure.
Certain medications may causes photosensitivity and specific conditions may be triggered by light. For your safety and comfort, it is imperative that any medication, illness, condition or other treatment that you may be undergoing is fully disclosed during your consultation.
Unlike more invasive procedures, LED Phototherapy does not use heat, trauma or chemicals to promote change in the skin and therefore provides one of the safest options to treat all skin types without thermal damage or downtime. LED can treat sensitive skin conditions and darker skin types.
Yes. The treatment should be followed by the application of suitable skin care products including a sunscreen. Makeup can then be applied.
No. Vitamin D production is triggered by exposure to UV light which converts cholesterol found naturally in the body to vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol).
Dermalux LED therapy delivers exceptional results as a stand-alone treatment, and also when used in combination with other skin treatments to speed up and enhance overall results. Because of its accelerated healing properties, when used in combination with many of our other rejuvenation treatments, it reduces any possible down time, improve success rates and improves long term results.
‘My friends keep telling me how well I look, and it is my little secret that I have been having a course of the latest CACI treatments combined with DERMALUX performed by Nishi, the owner.
Tina.
Both treatments are painless and I can’t believe how much younger I look, my skin is clear and lifted, it has done wonders for my confidence too.
It’s also a pleasure to go….where the staff make you feel so welcome, and I always look forward to my next treatment.’
